Our doctor appointment on Friday (4/18) went well. Dr. Teigen said that everything looks good and we are still on schedule for a May 16th delivery at Fairview Southdale. Baby Nolte is head down already and the Dr. thinks she should stay that way until her arrival - at least we hope she does! Her heartbeat continues to sound strong and normal and she is still quite active, especially at night...in fact she's moving around a bit as I'm typing this.
Daddy and Aunt Melisa got the stroller/carseat/carrier put together and Mommy has washed all the clothes and blankets...so things are coming together. Big sister Emma (our dog) seems to be more interested in what's going on as well - she spends time laying in the nursery and surprisingly hasn't snatched any of the baby toys for herself yet :) The nursery is set to have new blinds installed on Thursday and then it will only be missing one thing...the baby :)
We have 4 weeks to go - I better start thinking about getting those hospital bags packed and Ryan better get the carseat base installed!!!
Our next Dr. appt and our birth/parenting classes are this coming weekend...exciting, but a bit scary at the same time! We'll let you know how things go :)
Big decision finally made...Ryan and I have decided that I will stay at home through the summer and next school year - We have been debating about what to do, but we both feel that this is the best decision for our family and our baby, especially with Ryan traveling so much. I love my current teaching job (in fact I couldn't ask for it to be better), but I'm beyond excited to be a mom and spend every minute I can enjoying our little girl! And when Ryan is home he'll get to enjoy her more this way too! We know that the years go by quickly and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, so we're going to do our best to make it work!
